Undertaking a New Role: Come and follow my new journey

As the new Head of Schools, our commitment to continuous improvement and a shared vision for the future drives us to push the boundaries of education’s possibilities. Come and follow me in my new journey and experience firsthand how Aoba Group of Schools shapes compassionate, resilient, and globally-minded individuals who thrive academically and personally.

As I embark on my new role as a system leader at Aoba Group of Schools, I am privileged to be part of an educational institution that has achieved remarkable strides in enhancing teaching and learning experiences across all grade levels. Aoba Group of Schools has been at the forefront of educational reforms in Japan, implementing innovative practices that have propelled it to become the country’s largest international school system.

One of the noteworthy accomplishments is the group’s pioneering approach to teaching and learning, empowering students to become self-directed learners. This departure from traditional educational models has had a profound impact on our students, boosting their confidence and efficacy while equipping them with the skills needed to navigate an ever-evolving world. Additionally, our commitment to fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, collegiality, and respect has played a pivotal role in enhancing the overall well-being of our school community.

Together, we can celebrate the vibrant culture we have collectively built and the success of our team-based problem-solving approach to teaching and learning. However, what resonates with me even more deeply is the fact that, as a school community, we have created an environment that is poised to thrive and lead in the future. My aim is to continue nurturing a school that not only prepares students for the challenges of today but also keeps a keen eye on the opportunities that lie ahead.

Building upon these foundations of success, my dedication to continuous improvement and unwavering focus on student-centered education will set us apart as trailblazers in the field. By fostering a growth mindset among our students and educators, Aoba empowers individuals to embrace change and adapt to new ideas and technologies. I am committed to enhancing the flexible and responsive curriculum that caters to the needs and aspirations of our senior students, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future endeavors.

As the new Head of Schools, I am honoured to join a community that has already achieved so much. My aim is to further elevate our educational system by cultivating an environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Together, we will continue to push the boundaries of education’s possibilities, shaping a future where our students thrive not only academically but also as compassionate, resilient, and globally-minded individuals.

I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter as a system leader at Aoba Group of Schools. I am inspired by the innovative practices we have implemented, the remarkable growth we have witnessed, and the transformative impact we have had on our students’ lives. With a steadfast commitment to excellence and a shared vision for the future, we will continue to be pioneers in education, preparing our students to seize the opportunities of tomorrow while equipping them with the skills and mindset to thrive in an ever-changing world.

I look forward to sharing my adventures.
